Our trips to Bali are always limited by a few days. During a recent trip to check out Four Points Bali in Kuta, we were given the chance to also try out new food and beverage outlets on the island.
Taking around half an hour by van from Kuta, we drove past W Bali, Sardine and also La Lucciola which we frequented whenever we visited Bali. We got to a rustic beach side ‘village’ with modern facilities for lunch.
As you walk towards the restaurant, check out the gypsy caravans. These beautiful caravans are the beginning of your perfect Instagram backdrop. We’re not too sure whether these caravans would become functional. Too beautiful.
You would come to this sign board which means that you are nearing the restaurant. You’ll probably be get a warm welcome by the huge parakeet there.
On a hot day, you probably want to sit indoors. We are not complaining. The indoors are very eclectic. Check out the antiques inside. The juxtaposition of colours and creative chaos here gives it a distinct style.
There is ample space here for outdoor seating. Choose from a waterfront seat to somewhere more shaded. I reckon evenings would be perfect especially it does get quite breezy then.
The outdoor bar is conveniently located to service the clientele outside. Well it was lunch time, so I didn’t get to check out the drink menu here. Just means I have to come visit again in the evenings.
This area is perfect for the evenings unless you want an uneven tan. But the Bohemian colours here was what caught my attention.
If you are in the mood of lying around, this area is perfect for you. These round cushions are great for a group of three to four people.
What I liked about La Laguna is the freedom to walk around. This bridge is also another picture moment.
The Lunch Menu
Assorted bites are available here from Cheese, Cold Cuts to Tapas such as Meatballs, Croquetas, Calamari to Jamon Serrano Skewers which are priced reasonably between IDR40k and IDR100k.
You can share a few these dishes with your friends to enjoy a larger variety. Their juices are fabulous on a warm day.
The chargrilled dishes range from IDR120k to IDR270k. The steaks are amazing. We had the medium rare Rib Eye which was the most succulent piece of steak I remember eating. It may be thinly sliced, but it was still a memorable experience. The meat melted in my mouth.
I remembered having a hard time deciding on which main to order because the Lamb Lollipops and the Octopus Polenta were my other two choices. Servings here are sufficient for me, especially when we were also sharing the appetisers.
The portions of the salads are also filling. So the next time you visit Bali, check out La Laguna. See for yourself and have a good time here.
La Laguna is located at Jalan Pantai Kayu Putih, Berawa, Badung, Bali, Indonesia. They are open from 11am to 11pm daily. Call+62 361 4741214 for reservations.
