Singapore’s pastry chef personality and chef-owner of 2am:dessertbar, Janice Wong has launched her first eponymous sweets brand named after herself this month at Christmas Wonderland @ Gardens by the Bay and ION Orchard.
If you have attended some of the many events held in Singapore, you may have been able to taste some of Janice Wong’s edible art. With the launch of JANICE WONG sweets brand, Janice will introduce her artistic creations which you can purchase.
Janice hopes to inspire customers with her own memories and experiences as a child, through a wonderland filled with Marshmallow Paintings, Chocolate Bonbons, Chocolate Balloons and Kites, Assorted Spherical Cake, Fruit Rolls and more. Prices range from S$2.50 to S$55. There are over 70 types of sweets to choose from.
You can also create your own chocolate art with up to 38 colours with the introduction of Chocolate Paint. Enjoy flavours such as passionfruit, green mango and smoked chocolate to name a few.
Janice plans to expand overseas to establish JANICE WONG as an international name synonymous with innovative and imaginative desserts.
JANICE WONG Pop-Up at Christmas Wonderland @ Gardens by the Bay will be open till 21 December 2014. Here you can enjoy some of Janice’s delicious desserts such as colourful éclairs and other treats as well as purchase some of her edible art.
From 22 December 2014, the Pop Up moves to the ION Orchard Sweets Boutique at level one atrium. This will become JANICE WONG’s permanent sweets boutique. The boutique will be designed to resemble an ice-cream cart. There will be racks of candy and an edible art section.
For the festive season, JANICE WONG has rolled out classic candy cane flavoured lollipop for S$3 alongside the bright and cheerful spherical-shaped Cake for S$10 which is available in festive colours and flavours such as the red Praline Christmas Ruby and green Mistletoe. For Christmas, you may like to get the abstract-art-inspired Log Cakes at S$75 in Chocolate Rocher or Truffle Dove.
For the SG50 celebrations next year, JANICE WONG creations will include laksa-flavoured chocolate bon bons.
