From devouring rich Cantonese dishes to tossing multiple yu shengs (because who doesn’t want extra luck, fortune, and prosperity?), we got our fill of this once-a-year indulgence. Celebrate Chinese New Year in style at Li Bai Cantonese Restaurant in Sheraton Towers Singapore, where the culinary magic of the festive season unfolds from 15 January to 12 February 2025. Planning a grand reunion? Go all out with private room celebrations and indulge in sumptuous Chinese set menus priced from S$1,588++ to S$3,388++ for 10 people.

New to the menu this year is the Grilled Eel Claypot Rice with Chinese sausage and dried shrimp (S$288++ for 6). Imagine the smoky sweetness of perfectly grilled eel paired with the rich, robust flavours of Hong Kong preserved sausages and umami-packed dried shrimp—it’s comfort food on a whole new level. Oh, and don’t miss the debut of the Crispy Eel Yu Sheng, a fresh twist on the traditional favourite.

InterContinental Singapore is rolling out festive treats that’ll have your taste buds dancing till 16 February 2025! Feast on a medley of Chinese New Year delights from Man Fu Yuan, dive into the buffet spread at LUCE, or sweeten your day with cakes and sip on sweet indulgence at The Lobby Lounge with their Golden Fang cocktail—a zesty mix of Baijiu, Lady Trieu Gin, Gooseberry, Lime, Honey, and a dash of Cucumber & Ginger Bitters. The star of the season? The Blazing Snake Fortune Yu Sheng! This showstopper, priced at S$988++ for 10 guests, is a culinary masterpiece. Eight “snakes” artfully form the Chinese character “福” (fortune), each symbolising blessings like peace, joy, health, and prosperity. It’s a delicious way to ring in renewal and good fortune for the year ahead. Premium ingredients include grilled unagi, Hokkaido crsipy shredded dried scallop, salmon sashimi, ikura, crispy fish skin, topped with golden wafu and roasted sesame dressing. The Abundance Yu Sheng serves up to 10 guests (S$168++), or 5 for S$108++.

The Man Fu Yuan Abundance Treasure Pot is a lavish cauldron of prosperity packed with 18 premium delights! Think six-head whole abalone, rock lobster, premium sea cucumber, grilled unagi, dried whole scallop, fish maw, and pork trotter, all simmering together in one irresistible pot of indulgence. Priced at S$538, this Treasure Pot is a perfect takeaway for your home celebration.

Ring in the Year of the Dragon with a bang at Shangri-La Singapore! The hotel’s Reunion Gala Dinner on 28 January 2025 at the Tower and Island Ballroom is set to be an evening of indulgence, entertainment, and festive vibes.

Enjoy a front-row seat (kind of) to the CCTV Spring Festival Gala with a live stream, while being treated to live Chinese instrumental music and mesmerising Mask Changing acts. Got little ones in tow? The dedicated kid’s corner will keep them happily occupied with badge-making and paper origami folding – win-win for everyone!

On the menu? Highlights include the auspicious Fortune Yu Sheng with Norwegian Smoked Salmon, luxurious Braised Pumpkin Bird’s Nest Broth, decadent Braised Whole Abalone, and punchy Sichuan-style Prawn with Asparagus, among other delights. Oh, and did we mention it comes with unlimited soft drinks and Chinese tea? All this for just $188++ per guest.

At Shang Palace, Executive Chinese Chef Daniel Cheung and his team cooks up five indulgent eight-course menus and quintessential a la carte New Year dishes. From 13 January to 12 February 2025, indulge in five sumptuous eight-course menus priced between S$198++ and S$398++ per person.

The menu reads like a gourmet bucket list! There are Fortune Yu Sheng topped with Norwegian smoked salmon and poached lobster, the legendary Buddha Jumps Over the WallBraised South African Candy Heart Dried AbaloneSautéed Lobster, and Braised Bird’s Nest Broth with Conpoy. Oh, and don’t forget the showstopper: Steamed Coral Trout – it’s as luxurious as it sounds.

From 29 January to 12 February 2025, lunchtime at Shang Palace gets a festive glow-up with their special Dim Sum Delights Menu. Get ready to munch on golden bites of joy like the Golden Abalone Tart with diced chicken and shrimp, the delicate Steamed Snow Crab Dumpling with Egg White, and the oh-so-pretty Deep-fried Swan-shaped Pastry stuffed with minced Ibérico pork and morel mushrooms. Don’t forget the hearty Glutinous Rice Ball packed with chicken, mushroom, and shrimp – it’s a hug in every bite.

Imagine this: 32 types of fresh greens, some grown pesticide-free in-house using a futuristic indoor farming setup—exclusive to their flagship at UOB Plaza. And this isn’t just any pufferfish—it’s air-flown straight from Shimonoseki in Yamaguchi, Japan’s fugu capital. Talk about a dish that’s as impressive as it is delicious!
