The burger comes with Dark Sweet Sauce that is synonymous with Hainanese Chicken Rice. The burger already comes with ginger sauce and mayonnaise. Add in McDonald’s Garlic Chilli Sauce and the new Dark Sweet Sauce, and every bite of the burger is reminiscent of the favourite local dish of many.

“My inspiration behind the Crispy “Hainanese Chicken” Burger comes from my love and passion for local food. I grew up eating local food, so I wanted to incorporate a local flavour and taste – with a McDonald’s twist – into the burger! McDonald’s has a strong chicken menu, so naturally what came to mind was a dish that many of us know and love in Singapore – HainaneseChicken Rice – but of course, with my own interpretation of it”

The Crispy Hainanese Chicken Burger is available from S$6.60 for a la carte. The Extra Value Meal starts from S$8.30. Do give it a go when it launches. We think you would like it too!

Other new items on the menu include the Crisscut Fries, Banana Pie and Kopie Frappé. Crunchy Crisscut Fries and Crispy Banana Pie may just be the perfect accompaniments to any meal. The classic local beverage ‘Kopi’ comes in the form of McDonald’s Kopi Frappé. However, it is not available at all McDonald’s restaurants.
