Gaggan In Bangkok Tops Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants 2016 for Second Year

Gaggan in Bangkok makes it on the number one spot in Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants 2016 for the second consecutive year. The award ceremony is in its fourth year and was held at W Hotel in Bangkok, Thailand on 29 February 2016 and is sponsored by S. Pellegrino & Acqua Panna.

The 2016 list has 10 new entries with 13 nations represented this year. Amongst the 10 new entries, there are three from Japan. China counts 13 restaurants on the list while Singapore equals Japan with 10.

Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants was created by The Diners Club Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants Academy, a group of more than 300 leaders in the restaurant industry across Asia. The list is published by William Reed Media Group, which also publishes The World’s 50 Best Restaurants which launched in 2002, and Latin America’s 50 Best Restaurants which launched in September 2013.

Gaggan retains two titles – The Best Restaurant in Asia as well as the Best Restaurant in Thailand.
