Epicurean Market, Marina Bay Sands annual culinary festival, returns 11 to 13 August 2017 at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre. To celebrate the fifth edition of the festival, Epicurean Market 2017 will offer a new Singapore street food experience and cocktail bar inspired by local flavours besides the usual international cuisine of celebrity chef signature bites to other wines and fresh produce that the Epicurean Market has been known for.
Singapore Street Food
Set in a traditional two-storey shophouse, the new Singapore Street Food presented by RISE will highlight the best of Singaporean delicacies. Enjoy local dishes such as Teochew Png Kueh, Roti Prata and Rendang Pipi Daging. There will also be live demonstrations of making Char Siew Soh. There will also be traditional sweets including Ice Kachang Ball, Ice Chendol, “Ting Ting Tang” and Muah Chee.
Kampung Bar
Enjoy local hawker fare inspired cocktails created with premium spirits like Tanqueray Gin and Don Julio tequila designed by some of the best Diageo World Class bartenders and see if you can identify the familiar spices like chilli, lemongrass and pandan.
New Restaurants
Get a sneak preview of Lavo, a multi-concept restaurant, lounge bar and nightclub that is opening at Marina Bay Sands. This international nightlife brand is well-known for its upscale restaurants and nightclubs in Las Vegas and New York. It will make its Asian debut here. Taste its Italia fare with its signature Meatball with ricotta and dishes such as Prawn Fra Diavalo Chifferi Pasta, and Sliced Prime NY Strip Steak Roasted Tomato Chimichurri on Crostini.
IPPUDO will also be serving up its newest rendition of the Maze Soba and sides such as Crispy Corn and Chicken Karaage.
The Connoisseur Series
The Connoisseur Series returns with a selection of premium master classes led by wine and spirits experts. Enjoy the world of premium Japanese Whisky with a tasting of Single Malts such as Karuizawa 40, Chichibu Japan Warrior Series Number One Single Cask 2369, or customised Yamazaki, Hakushu and Nikka from miniature Oak Barrels in a series of masterclasses. Or explore world-class sparkling wine beyond Champagne and rediscover the Rhone Valley with the renowned winery, M.Chappoutier.
Masterclasses
There will be 30 complimentary masterclasses where renown chefs such as Tetsuya Wakuda, Nancy Silverton, David Myers, Jonathan Kinsella or Sabrina Stillhart.
Farmer’s Market
Get your hands on fresh produce and fine gourmet produce from Aisa, Europe and North America at the Farmer’s Market. It is set to be bigger with more produce, seafood and a larger selection of craft beer and juices, along with brands such as Huber’s Butchery, The Cheese Artisans, Sincere Dim Sum and Épicerie Boulud.
Late Night Festivities
Linger late into the night on 11 and 12 August from 10 pm to 2 am to groove to the tunes spun by international DJs or head to the Diageo World Class Bar helmed by renowned bartenders for handcrafted cocktails.
