Kabuke Den is located on the upper level of its two-level Telok Ayer shophouse located just above Kabuke Gastrobar which is known for its contemporary Japanese cuisine. The space is flexible and can be converted into a classroom or a tasting bar.
Keiji Heng, the sake authority at Kabuke, has established a space dedicated to educating aficionados and enthusiasts about the intricacies of Japan’s beloved sake.
Come here for ala carte sake flights or guided sake-tasting experiences. We attended a tasting session in August that focused on sake made with Omachi rice which is an heirloom strain grown in Okayama and Hiroshima.
There is nothing pretentious here. Guests are welcome to ask questions about your sake. Kabuke Den is an inviting space for everyone to learn, appreciate and enjoy this Japanese tradition.
