Singapore Airlines has collaborated with Singapore Tourism Board to offer Popular Local Fare dishes voted by the airline’s customers on selected flights departing from Singapore for the month of July. This is in conjunction with the Singapore Food Festival. The dishes are part of Singapore Airline’s 70th Anniversary celebrations. Customers got to vote for their favourites in an online poll on SilverKris.com.
It goes without saying that Singapore Chicken Rice was voted the most popular among the 13 local dishes.
Customers in Suites, First Class and Business Class get Singapore Chicken Rice, Nasi Lemak, Fish Ball Kway Teow Soup, Prawn and Chicken Laksa as well as Peranakan Hokkien Mee Soup.
Premium Economy and Economy class customers will be treated to Char Siew Rice, Fried Carrot Cake and Hainanese Pork Chop.
Some of these dishes are currently only available for pre-ordering through the “Book the Cook” service available for customers in Suites, First Class and Business Class.
