Durian season is back and you can enjoy a selection of Durian desserts at Marriott Cafe’s Durian High Tea Buffet until 31 July 2018. The dessert selection complements the existing kueh kueh desserts as well as ice cream scoops selection at the buffet spread and over 50 local delicacies at the local High Tea buffet spread such as laksa, bak kut teh, char kway teow, oyster omelette, nasi lemak and more.

Afternoon tea is available every day from 3 to 5.30 pm at S$45++ per adult or S$27++ per child from Monday to Friday and S$48++ per adult and S$30++ per child on Saturday and Sunday. Better to make advance reservations as Singapore Marriott Tang Plaza’s High Tea Buffet is extremely popular.

These durian desserts are made with premium Mao Shan Wang and D24 durians. The spread features bread and butter pudding, créme brulee, glutinous rice, puff, mochi and more.  I could have a dozen of the Durian Puffs. Those are my favourite. The Glutinous rice with Durian & Coconut Cream is a delight to sink your teeth into. Soft and chewy glutinous rice suffused with coconut cream and topped with bittersweet durian puree.

The baked durian strudel must be consumed warm. Thick layers of warm durian mousse and cream sandwiched between flaky pastry crusts of strudel glazed with sugar.  Another warm durian dessert is the Durian Bread & Butter Pudding with Coconut Sauce.

Marriott Cafe is located at ground level at Singapore Marriott Tang Plaza at 320 Orchard Road, Singapore 238865. Call +65 6831 4605 or visit singaporemarriott.com/dining for reservations.
