Hai Tien Lo at Pan Pacific Hotel Singapore has created a premium rice dumpling filled with dried scallop, pork belly barbequed duck, Japanese mushroom, egg yolk, lotus seed, chestnut, green bean and Thai glutinous rice. Feng Shui Inn at Resorts World Sentosa serves up a traditional dumpling filled with Mexician six head abalone and Japanese dry scallop, flower mushroom and roasted pork served with premium abalone sauce dip at S$68++ per piece. Another unique innovation is the kurobuta pig trotters rice dumpling served with a specially created premium soy sauce dip at S$32++ per piece. Offering a third a nd sweet dumpling is the Japanese organic kidney beans dumpling served with osmanthus honey palm sugar at S$13.80++ per piece
Cherry Garden at Mandarin Oriental Singapore introduces a uniquely created Wild and Red yeast rice dumpling with chicken at S$16 per piece by Chef Cheung Yat Sing. This healthier alternative contains wholesome wild rice, red yeast rice and chicken that is minced and marinated over two days.
There is also the glutinous rice dumpling with lychee and yorkshire pork belly at S$16 per piece. The rich sweetness of the lychee brings out the fragrance from the slow-braised pork belly.

Peach Blossoms at Marina Mandarin Singapore this year goes fruity with five sweet rice dumplings filled with fruit filling in addition to its three signature traditional rice dumplings. The five different fruits include Prune, Mango, Red Peach, Jackfruit and Durian. Kee Changs as they are commonly known, the mini jewel sweet rice dumplings filled with the fruits go well topped with sugar. I am not too sure about the prunes but the rest of the flavours go pretty well.
The traditional cantonese style rice dumplings filled with pork belly, conpoy, flower mushrooms, salted egg, chestnut, lotus seed and lentils is one of Peach Blossoms’ best sellers. They retail at S$20.80 + per piece.
The traditional pork belly rice dumpling is filled with pork belly, flower mushroom, salted egg and chestnut. Retails at S$10.80+ per piece.
