Hong Kong is a city of cuteness. When I was there in May, I chanced upon the Gudetama meals at McDonalds. Now there are Panda, Smurfs and Ocean Park soft toys to bring out the kid in you. There is even a Panda-a-Panda cooking or cocktail class, fitness class or room make-up class.

2. MoMo Cafe Panda-a-Panda Buffet & Afternoon Tea

Indulge in the lunch or dinner buffet at Momo Cafe. The Panda-a-Panda buffet offers a new series of durian and lychee desserts as well as a range of cute yet delicious Panda-a-Panda. Spend HK$1,000 or more in the hotel restaurants and you can purchase a Panda-a-Panda Limited edition product at HK$98 while stocks last. The Water Doodle Map Set is on sale from 15 July to 21 August 2016 while the Paintable plush with four colour pens are on sale from 22 August to 30 September 2016.

Lunch buffet on Monday to Thursday is priced at HK$288 for adult and HK$198 for child. Friday to Sunday and Public holidays, adult pay HK$328 and child pays HK$198.

Dinner buffet on Monday to Thursday is priced at HK$458 for adult and HK$268 for child. On Friday to Sunday as well as Public Holidays, adult pays HK$508 and child pays HK$298.

 

3. We’re All Smurfs! Art Exhibition at Harbour City

From 13 July to 21 August 2016, Harbour City will be invaded by the Smurfs from the classic Belgian cartoon and comic strip created by Belgian comic artist Peyo in 1958. “We’re All Smurfs!” Art Exhibition will feature 36 of Pero’s original artworks as well as an enormous “We’re All Smurfs” Village at the Ocean Terminal Forecourt. A 4-metre high giant Smurf will be greeting you up in the air, together with a display of eight classic comic scenes of The Smurfs in Gateway Arcade. Collect the Hong Kong Special Edition Smurf figures and premiums from all around the world. The Smurfs Rarities Collection Pop Up Store will be open at the Atrium I of Gateway Arcade. Some of the merchandising includes the 316L Black Steel Smurf Figure with only 30 available worldwide, Wood carved Smurf figure with only 100 available worldwide, and The Hong Kong style Smurfette figure in red, white and blue dress and the Kung-Fu Smurf Figure.

Mr. Nicolas Tytgat, the grandson of Peyo will also be visiting Hong Kong from Belgium on 12 to 15 July to share Peyo’s creative concepts.

 

4. The Smurfs Fantasy at Marco Polo Hotels Hong Kong

In conjunction with the “We’re All Smurfs!” art exhibition at Harbour City, you can enjoy a Smurf-themed High Tea set available daily from 13 July to 21 August 2016, as well as at the buffet dessert table during Lunch or Dinner at Cafe Marco, Three on Canton and add@Prince during the exhibition period. The tiered Smurfs Fantasy High Tea stand includes three savoury and six sweet petite treats. The Smurfs Fantasy High Tea Set is priced at HK$488++ for two and comes with two glasses of selected cocktail or mocktail, or two cups of floral tea.

The Marco Polo Hong Kong Hotel, Gateway Hotel and Prince Hotel are all connected to each other with Harbour City in the centre.

 

5. Ocean Park Themed Family Suite at Cosmopolitan Hotel Hong Kong

If you love soft toys and like the sea life, you may just love the Ocean Park themed Family Suite in Cosmopolitan Hotel in Hong Kong. This soon to be rebranded to Dorsett Wan Chai Hong Kong in October this year, has refurbished all its rooms and hotel interiors. The hotel room comes with a separate living room and dining/kitchenette area. The separate bedroom has an attached bathroom equipped with shower and bath tub. The walls in the living room are decorated with a drawing of the world map so you can try to identify the country by the figurines. The carpet has teddy bears imprinted in them and they do look like they are about to pop out at you anytime.
