In celebration of Singapore Cocktail Festival, the Tippling Club extends its Sensorium Menu with The Cosmos Menu. Head bartender Joe Schofield takes inspiration from the mysterious outer space to create five futuristic cocktails. Taking us through the cosmic-inspired tipples is a unique scent created in conjunction with International Flavours and Fragrances Inc., giving our after-work tipples an out of this world experience.
With names such as Moon, Sun and Xenomorph, they have connoisseurs scratching their heads, wondering how each would be presented and how they would taste. Needless to say, Joe keeps the drinks easy-going. Even the newest to the scene would have no trouble appreciating each glass. Flavours are familiar, but with a whole lot more fan fare (the mystery of the cosmos, after all).
I was able to give Sun, Moon and Milky Way a try ahead of the festivities. While the Sun was refreshing way to open up the palette to start the night off, I could not get my hands off the Milky Way. This coffee-based tipple is served sweet with honey, salted caramel and Aberlour Whisky (topped off with “meteorites” for effect). Sweet, savory, bitter and a tiny, tiny hint of spice from the whisky was an easy win.
