This year’s memorable Christmas delights came from coupla restaurants around Singapore. The Roast Turkey and BBQ short ribs from Crowne Plaza Changi Airport have unanimously become our favourites.
The Roast Turkey is not the traditional turkey you are used to have at the dining table for the festive season. Instead, the tender and juicy turkey has a twist of local flavours of tumeric and coriander with a spicy coconut cream sauce. It is available for takeaway at S$135+ for 5kg. If you still prefer the traditional Christmas turkey, you can still order the House Special Roasted Turkey Marinated with Maple Glaze Chestnut Stuffing served with Cranberry Sauce at the same price.
The Roasted Texas BBQ Beef Short-Rib is priced at S$120+ for 1kg. But it is a must-order. Sous vide for 24 hours before being roasted in the oven, the beef short ribs are so tender and soft it falls straight off the bone. My team and I loved it so much, we had more servings of it that we should be eating.
FESTIVE BUFFET AT AZUR
If you prefer to dine out, Crowne Plaza Changi Airport’s AZUR offers an Asian and Western buffet spread. Buffet items for the Christmas season are also served in small portions and round tables for larger group dining reservations.
The Festive Buffet Lunch that is served throughout December except from 24 to 26 December and 31 December 2015 is priced at S$45 per adult and S$22.50++ per child. The Festive Buffet Dinner is priced at S$55++ per adult and S$27.50++ per child.
If you are having the Christmas Eve Buffet Dinner, it is priced at S$70++ per adult and S$35++ per child. There are brunch and dinner options priced at S$65++ and S$75++ per adult respectively and S$32.50++ and S$37.50++ per child.
Boxing Day Brunch is available at S$65++ per adult and S$32.50++ per child.
