In the mood for durian desserts? Marriott Cafe at Marriott Tang Plaza Singapore has a High Tea Buffet from 3 to 5.30pm every day till 9 August 2017. This High tea has a fabulous spread of the King of Fruits in the form of sweet and savoury dessert creations.
The highlight for us is the Durian Pizza (pictured above) which has to be eaten warm. The crusty pizza is topped with copious amounts of durian flesh and stringy mozzarella, creamy mascarpone cheese and crumbled coconut shavings. One slice wouldn’t be enough with this mix of sweet and salty pizza.
The Durian Strudel oozes with rich durian goodness as you sink your teeth into a combination of light and crisp layers, moist sponge cake and D24 durian puree. Or enjoy the Durian Swiss Roll which is filled with swirls of smooth durian cream tucked within a fluffy pastel yellow sponge cake blanket. The Durian Cream Puffs feature velvety durian mousse piped into little choux buns. Other durian highlights include the Fried Durian Balls; Durian Crème Brûlée Tarts; Durian Mochi; Durian Crêpes; Durian Kueh Lapis and more.
The buffet line does not only involve desserts. It also serves up over 50 local delights and international fare that Marriott Cafe at the Singapore Marriott Tang Plaza Hotel is popular with. Enjoy freshly shucked oysters, prawns and other iced seafood or hot dishes such as Laksa, Bak Kut Teh, Char Kway Teow, Oyster Omelette or Nasi Lemak amongst other favourites.
