Bar-Fabric Asia: A New Bartender Community Launches at BCB Singapore 2025

Bar-Fabric, the global bartending community founded by Brown-Forman, has officially made its mark in Asia with a debut at Bar Convent (BCB) Singapore 2025, held from 3 to 4 March 2025 at Marina Bay Sands. Designed to support and uplift bartenders and industry professionals at all stages of their careers, Bar-Fabric Asia aims to foster meaningful connections, share industry insights, and cultivate a spirit of camaraderie across the region.

Originally launched in Berlin in 2022, Bar-Fabric has grown into a global initiative, providing a space for bartenders to exchange ideas, learn from one another, and share their experiences—both triumphs and failures. More than just a networking platform, Bar-Fabric focuses on career development, industry storytelling, and knowledge-sharing in a non-branded space, making it an invaluable resource for professionals looking to grow.

At BCB Singapore 2025, the Bar-Fabric Asia Deli booth brought this philosophy to life with an interactive space that seamlessly blended an American diner concept with the elegance of European and Asian bistros. Visitors experienced a thoughtfully curated selection of global cocktails while engaging in discussions on industry trends, career journeys, and creative mixology.

The event featured appearances from Woodford Reserve Wonderful Race (WRWR) winners, who showcased their skills behind the bar and shared their insights into the world of bartending. Guests had the opportunity to connect with:

• Raz Ng (Sugarhall Singapore, WRWR 2023 Winner)

• Kelvin Saquilayan (Republic Bar Singapore, WRWR 2024 Winner)

• Ellen Xu (Chimney Bar Hangzhou, WRWR Asia Winner 2024)

These bartenders not only crafted exceptional cocktails but also engaged in open conversations about the industry, challenges, and aspirations, reinforcing Bar-Fabric’s mission of community-building through authentic storytelling.

Reflecting on the launch, Nidal Ramini, Advocacy Director at Brown-Forman, shared:

“It was fantastic to see the success of Bar-Fabric Asia’s launch. Looking back at the foundations laid in Berlin, we’ve built something special. But more than that, the interactions I’ve had at BCB Singapore were truly heartwarming. Seeing the passionate conversations and the genuine connections being made reinforced our commitment to supporting the bartending community worldwide.”

As Bar-Fabric Asia continues to grow, it aims to provide ongoing mentorship, industry-led discussions, and career-enhancing opportunities for bartenders across the region. By prioritising collaboration over brand promotion, the initiative is set to become a vital support system for those in the craft.
