If you have been to Bali, you would have visited the restaurant Bale Udang Mang Engking which is famous for its floating deck dining. Offering delectable seafood and delicious Indonesian cuisine as well as a beautiful environment allowing you to eat on the water, Bale Udang Mang Engking first opened in December 2009 in the countryside in the middle of Denapsar and Kuta. Prawns represent the signature dish as you can tell from this dining experience’s name Bale Udang (where Udang means Prawn).

We were just in Bali to celebrate the new year last December and visited Bale Udang Mang Engking for dinner. To us a visit to Bali is not complete without visiting Bale Udang Kuta and dining in a Bale (building made of bamboo)

Bale Udang Mang Engking opened its second outlet in Ubud on 28 January 2014. Known as Bale Udang Ubud, it will feature the same atmosphere and food as Bale Udang Kuta.

You can also enjoy the popular selections at Bale Udnag including Udang Bakar Madu, Sup Kelapa Udang and Gurame Bumbu Cobek as well as other variation of the menu. You would also enjoy the vast fish pond with a view of the rice fields and a silhouette of the mountain accompanied with the sound of splashing water and instrumental music.

Reservations to the Ubud outlet is recommended especially if you want to get a Bale. Visit www.baleudang.com to check out the menu and for more details. Bale Udang Ubud is located at Jl. Raya Goa Gajah, Ubud, Bali, Indonesia.
