25 December 2011, Singapore – This festive season is packed so close to each other starting with the Christmas celebrations today, followed by New Year’s day celebrations next week and finally the Lunar New Year slightly less than a month away from Christmas.
In the spirit of celebration, beer has become synonymous with celebrations. We’ve compiled a list of all things beer for this festive season.
Kirin Draft Straight From The Tap
Kirin Draft, a rich variant of Kirin beer is now available in selected outlets in Singapore. Being the only brewery that produces beer made from 100% malt via their unique First Press Process which extracts the purest and most flavourful portion of the finest ingredients, Kirin now introduces the Draft dispensing system that enables the prevention of oxidation by air discharge and CO2 distribution resulting in only the purest, richest glass of premium Japanese beer.
You can get a taste of First Press Kirin Draft in selected restaurants, clubs and bars in Singapore including AquaNova, Extra Virgin Pizza, Lucky 13, The Exchange and many more outlets in the future.
Heineken Social Christmas Tree
This festive season, Heineken erected a Christmas Tree made up of 48 40-inch LCD screens right in the middle of Clarke Quay. The electronic tree is 11 metres high and 4 metres wide and is up from 17th to 26th December from 6pm to 6am daily.
This tree is digitally driven allowing users to log on to www.socialtree.sg to send greetings to their friends via the online application. These greetings are broadcasted on the screens of the real tree at Clarke Quay with a virtual tree choir broadcasted across the 48 screens where 20 people from all over the world recorded a Christmas carol that Heineken digitally engineered in an a capella style.
Countdown to 2012 With Tiger Crystal
From 27 to 31 December 2011, a Tiger Crystal clock tower similar to the one situated in New York’s Times Square which is made up of LCD lit panels, LED message panels and a countdown clock will replace the Heineken Social Christmas Tree.
With the same concept as the Heineken Social Christmas Tree, this clock tower will display New Year well-wishes received via text messages from revellers at Clark Quay. A Tiger Crystal themed photo booth allows party goers at Clarke Quay to get their photos taken and uploaded automatically onto Tiger Beer Singapore’s Facebook page.
10,000 pairs of Tiger Crystal branded cheer sticks with multi-coloured LED lights will be distributed by Tiger Crystal brand ambassadors.
A one night’s stay in Swissotel Stamford’s Presidential Suite overlooking the Marina Bay is up for grabs for one lucky Facebook fan of Tiger Beer Singapore’s Facebook page. Besides getting two cartons of Tiger Crystal, the winner will get to party the night away with free entry to New Asia Bar with up nine other friends.
To qualify, become a fan on Tiger Beer’s Facebook page. The more friends you have on Facebook who are also fans of the page will increase your chances of winning and the winner will be determined through a lucky draw.
