Google Pay Allows Real-Time Money Transfers via PayNow for DBS PayLah!, OCBC and Standard Chartered Customers

<em>Google Pay Lets you PayNow anyone in Singapore<em>

Google Pay now allows customers of DBS PayLah!, OCBC Bank and Standard Chartered to link their bank accounts to Google Pay to pay anyone in Singapore through PayNow. Payment to merchants by UEN or PayNow QR codes are now possible too.

Google Pay allows you to send and receive money on its mobile app even if the recipient is not on Google Pay, allowing Singaporeans with more than one bank account to streamline money transfers from different banks on one platform.

Singapore is the second country in the world to offer the new version of Google Pay, after India.

Since April this year, Google Pay has enabled Singaporeans to support food and beverage outlets at a time when dine-in business was at a standstill because of COVID-19.

The Groups function on Google Pay was added to allow friends to split a bill when restaurants were allowed to resume dine-in services. The Split A Bill function allowed users to divide a bill, request for, and receive payments using PayNow.

Book and pay for movie tickets with Golden Village and Shaw from the app with no convenience fees for a limited time.

Get rewarded for referring a friend with as much as $5 for their first transaction. Earn scratch cards that could win you cashback of up to S$15 for qualifying transactions like sending money to friends or ordering food.
