Bank of China Singapore launched the BOC Elite Miles World Mastercard this week offering cardholders 2 miles per S$1 spending in Singapore and 5 miles per S$1 spent overseas from now till 31 December 2018. After that, you earn 1.5 miles for every S$1 spent locally and 3 miles for every S$1 spent overseas.

Mr Anson Lim, Head of Card Centre at Bank of China Singapore Branch, said, “This latest BOC Elite Miles World Mastercard is our first credit card that is specially tailored for the frequent travellers segment. Singaporeans love their travel and we want to ensure that our card makes it easy for them to redeem free air tickets faster and to travel even more frequently. With this card, cardholders will enjoy the highest miles earn rate on any spending. In addition, cardholders can use their accelerated points to redeem for faster rewards such as Grab, groceries, petrol vouchers and more.”

The card is enabled with Mastercard contactless so cardholders can tap and go to pay for transport whilst earning BOC points for miles rewards or to redeem for access to many lifestyle rewards.

This is the bank’s second collaboration with Mastercard this year after launching the BOC Qoo10 World Mastercard. It is the bank’s fifth card product. The bank’s portfolio of cards includes the BOC Visa Infinite Card, BOC Family Card, BOC Zaobao Credit Card, BOC Sheng Siong Card and BOC Qoo10 Mastercard.

Earn Rate S$1 local = 2 miles | S$1 overseas = 5 miles (till 31 December 2018)
S$1 local = 1.5 miles | S$1 overseas = 3 miles (after 31 December 2018)
Conversion Fee (from points to miles) S$30 per redemption subject to GST
Conversion Rate to Asia Miles Minimum 18,000 points to 6,000 miles
