Swatch Launches Art, Fashion and Sport Collection

2 March 2011, Singapore – Watch maker SWATCH has unveiled a new collection bringing together Art, Fashion and Sport which are the three pillars of the Swiss’s brand’s success around the world.

Three different artists showcase their work through the Art, Fashion and Sport Collection which will be released in all Swatch Boutiques from tomorrow.

Fashion

American based designer Jeremy Scott combines a keen awareness of fashion history with an ironic grasp of pop culture’s excess.    He has created three models for the new collection  – the WINGED WATCH, LIGHTING FLASH and SWATCH OPULENCE.

Art

German artist Markus Linnenbrink contributes to models WE’REALLGONNADIE (FORRON) and TIMEISNEVERTIMEENOUGH.  Both are characteristic representatives of Linnenbrink’s notable use of layered streaks of vivid colour or pools of dripped colour resin to create distinctive works that catch and hold the eye.

Sports

Terje Haakonsen, winner of multiple U.S. Open, European and World Championships awards in freestyle snowboarding in the 1990s and a key member of Swatch Proteam, has created two new models, RUNE STONE and NORTH SIGNS.

Each Artist’s work forms a separate set.  Globally, the three sets are each available in a limited and numbered edition of 777 pieces, coming with its own special packaging,   Singapore has been allocated with 15 sets for each of the 3 artists.

Jeremy Scott Limited Edition Set: S$420
Markus Linnenbrink Limited Edition Set: S$279
Terje Haakonsen Limited Edition Set: S$279

All models are also sold individually starting from S$99 for all the models except for WE’REALLGONNADIE (FORRON) which retails at S$109.
