27 February 2013, Singapore – Multi-platform reality TV series SUPERMODELME makes it as one of the four programmes nominated for the Non-Fiction category at the International Digital Emmy Awards 2013. Prizes to the awards will be presented during the opening night of MIPTV, the leading international television market in Cannes from 8 to 11 April 2013.
SUPERMODELME also made it to the nominees at the recent 17th Asian Television Awards 2012. SUPERMODELME will be the sole Asian representative at this year’s Awards and will compete against nominees from nine countries across the world. The other nominees in the Digital Programme: Non-Fiction category include Argentinian ‘All Connected’ , Dutch ‘Entertainment Experience’ and British ‘The Great British Property Scandal’.
Karen Seah, the creator and executive producer of SUPERMODELME is excited about representing Singapore with the nomination and it is also the programme’s first nomination at the International Digital Emmy Awards.
SUPERMODELME was co-produced through a tri-party deal between Celestial Tiger Entertainment, MediaCorp Channel 5 and a production company Refinery Media. The English language multiplatform, reality based programme is available across television, the internet and on the mobile. SUPERMODELME Season three featured 12 aspiring Asian and mixed-Asian models going head-to-head through a series of physicall and mentally grueling challenges for a chance to kick start their modelling career. SUPERMODELME has expanded its footprint by breaking into USA and China with the show’s multi-platform local production.
