New Balance continues to focus on tennis in 2014. Earlier this year, it signed a multi-year contract to be the exclusive tennis and training foot wear and apparel provider of Milos Raonic. In 2014, New Balance will be offering a comprehensive collection of tennis footwear as well as a directional apparel line inspired by Milos.
Engineered with the PROBANK technology, the New Balance Tennis 996 is a lightweight tennis shoe without compromising on cushioning and stability. There is a dual-density foam in the forefoot which offers a secure hold and optimal control during quick cutting movements. It utilises an NDURE cage that cradles the foot in a breathable, flexible package and provides REVLITE cushioning. It weighs 348.7g and is touted as the lightest performance tennis shoe on the market.
The New Balance Tennis 996 is available in multiple colourways and widths for both men and women at New Balance Concept Stores and Sports Report at S$159.
