24 June 2011, Singapore – Contemporary Street Wear, Flesh Imp, opens its third outlet at #02-20/21/22 SCAPE Singapore with the launch of their latest Summer collection and introduces shoes and kids wear.
Spanning across 1,300 square feet of space, this flagship mega store houses the latest range of merchandise. With decor imitating a leather smith workshop, the rawness of the metal and wood furnishings gives you a rather cool ambiance.
Moving into its eleventh year of business in Singapore, Vincent Q, the founder, designer and managing director of Flesh Imp used materials such as zinc plates, galvanized steel plates and other materials salvaged from scrap yards and recycling centers to create this raw charming warehouse feel.
Introducing the Summer 2011 Collection
This season is aptly called “Scrap Yard Blues” as it gets down to the basis. Again drawing influences from the scrap yard, this collection combines aesthetics of the raw, unfinished textured material used. The tops are cut from textured denim and chambray, smattered with random corduroy as well as ginghams.
Featuring four new “Made in USA” bottoms in the collection that are soft and comfortable include:
Raw Saw : the worn look with some cuts and tears
Drill Bit : skinny, resilient and hardy
Rough Tough : naturally rough and tough
Distressed Mech : distressed vintage look that is smooth
New Product Categories
- Men’s Shoes: Combining the best materials, the new dress and boat shoes footwear range from S$69 to S$99.
- Kid’s Tees: These new fashionable cotton basic tees for kids aged four to six range between S$19 and S$35.
At the official opening ceremony today, the store was packed with guests and media. Amongst some of the guests include some celebrities.
Guests were also treated to a display of the new season via a short fashion display.
More provocative photos. Not for the faint hearted.

Hi XX.
Thank you for your concern and appreciate your comment. We understand and totally can see where your concern stems from. However, while I am not well-versed legally to address to the issues that you have raised, we have consulted our legal counsel and concluded that there is actually no infringement whatsoever. The winning entry was taken at an event where other photographers were also present and free to take photographs. While it might be a Men’s Fashion Week event, the photographer did not plagiarise other photographer’s work. The winning entry was taken, as quoted by the winner ‘ while the models were having some relax time from the rehearsal’ As such, the entry was deemed valid and original because the photograph was taken by the winner himself. We appreciate you taking time to point this out to us, and at Flesh Imp, we take copyright issues very seriously and would not have allowed the entry to be shortlisted, and subsequently be selected as the winner if it had failed to meet our criteria.Once again, thank you and we appreciate your effort in copyright protection. In the event that you would like to get a better idea on local copyright issues, or find our explanation inadequate, you might like to contact me directly and I would try my utmost to clarify on this particular issue with the assistance of our legal counsel.Send your correspondence to info@fleshimp.com and I will take it from there with my personal email.Nicholas Cho Flesh Imp
