2018 will mark the 35th anniversary of CASIO G-SHOCK. To mark this milestone, CASIO Singapore will be sending one lucky G-Shock fan to New York City to attend the G-SHOCK: SHOCK THE WORLD premiere on 9 November 2017. Two lucky winners will also get to win a full set of the limited edition 35th anniversary BIG BANG BLACK collection. Fourth to fifth prize winners will win the Master of G Mudmaster (GWG-1000) while the sixth to tenth prize winners will each get a CASIO EX-FR200 camera. Just spend S$300 on regular-priced items within a single receipt from 8 September to 30 September 2017 to qualify for a chance in the draw. You have to be a G-Factory member to win too.
SHOCK THE WORLD events have been held in over 73 cities globally since 2008 featuring artist performances in close affinity to the G_SHOCK’s spirit of music and sports. This year’s celebrations will kick start with the highly coveted SHOCK THE WORLD event in New York City.
The first set of commemorative models will be released featuring five G-SHOCK models with a new matt black colour which is the symbolic colour for the brand. The new base colour was achieved using technology that incorporates particles into the paint, creating a flat black finish that seems to absorb all light. The case back is in bright gold colour that expresses the instantaneous mega explosion of the Big Bang. The case back is also engraved with the G-SHOCK 35th-anniversary logo designed by world famous graphic artist Eric Haze. “SINCE 1983” is featured on the dials.
The G-SHOCK BIG BANG BLACK collection will be available at all G-Factory stores from early October 2017. The five models in the collection include:
- MUDMASTER GG-1035A-1A : Dust and mud-resistant structure equipped with twin sensors for measuring direction and temperature
- GA-735A-1A : Three-dimensional dial and hands, as well as a large case for a dynamic look
- GA-835A-1A : Medium-sized case and three-hand analogue mode
- GA-135A-1A : Large case with precision face design
- GW-5035-1 : Classic G-SHOCK model
