Just in time for the Christmas season of giving, RISIS has released the SG50 Singapore Storytellers Collection pendant by international travel host Anita Kapoor. The third in a series of five pendants in the collection, Anita’s pendant is called Four In A Gram.
Anita Kapoor recalls collecting Saga seeds when she was growing up, playing childhood games including Congkak and Five Stones. She shares the Saga seeds as tokens of love to her family and friends. These seeds had a role in Singapore’s trading history. They were used as a standard measure for silver and gold. Yes four seeds was the equivalent of one gramme. And these seeds would resonate with many in Singapore.
Four In A Gram comes after the release of orchid pendant by Dr Kiat W. Tan, the Chief Executive Officer of the Gardens by the Bay as well as the iconic Mad Chinaman pendant by Singapore’s established performer and composer Dick Lee.
This limited edition pendant is available at RISIS stores islandwide and on www.risis.com for S$50. All proceeds will support more than 200 social service programmes through the Community Chest’s Care & Share Movement as part of the SG50 project.
