La Maison du Whisky’s 13th Whisky Live Singapore returns as a VIP-exclusive event on 23-24 November 2024 at Mandala Club. Guests will be the first in Asia Pacific to sample new releases from LMDW’s ‘Foundations’ catalogue, featuring exclusive bottlings like Macalla, Caroni, Blanton’s, and the Artist #14 single casks. The VIP Central Bar will showcase select first-tastes from the 2024 Creations Catalogue, a curated collection of rare bottlings from global distilleries and independent bottlers. The Foundations Catalogue, inspired by Scotland’s Rothes Glen Castle, reflects the architectural legacy of Charles Doig, renowned for designing numerous distilleries worldwide.
The Foundations Catalogue pays tribute to Rothes Glen Castle and architect Charles Doig, famed for his pagoda-roof design that revolutionized whisky distillery architecture across Scotland, Taiwan, and Japan. With 170 expressions, including the Artist Range’s Longmorn 1994 and Macallan 1991, the catalogue celebrates Doig’s impact on whisky history.
Additionally, Ireland’s Teeling Whiskey will debut a special single malt, finished in Manhattan Bar’s Negroni casks, with a limited 288-bottle release starting at Manhattan Bar on 21 November, and then available at Mandala Club’s Whisky Live event.
Rum fans can look forward to the Singapore debut of the Magnum Series #2, featuring Caribbean rums (Hampden LROK 2010, Saint James 2010, and Clarendon MBS 2014) and a 2015 vintage from Australia’s Beenleigh, all adorned with Alex Webb’s photography.
Velier also introduces a Vieux Sajous 5 Year Old 2019, a Haitian Clairin aged in barrels previously used for Mount Gay Rum, Jack Daniel’s, and Benriach whisky. The showcase builds toward the grand reveal of Hoy Como Ayer Cuba 1956, a tribute to Cuban rum’s golden era.
Guests can enjoy curated food pairings, complimentary masterclasses, and exclusive access to Collectors Square at LMDW’s Robertson Quay bar, featuring tastings of rare and iconic bottles for a small fee. Highlights include the prestigious Nikka Nine Decades blended whisky, marking Nikka’s 90th anniversary, and a Yoichi single malt from the 1940s, both available in masterclasses and at Collectors Square.
Ticket holders can enjoy a 10% discount at La Boutique, Whisky Live Singapore’s exclusive pop-up retail experience, where they can shop for new and rare bottles.
