Peppermint’s Chef de Cuisine Leon Yee collaborates with Chef Alan Ho, the newly appointed President of the Taiwan Chefs Association, to introduce Taiwanese classics and popular street food, after a successful first edition last year.
Chef Alan brings a wealth of knowledge and a deep cultural understanding of Taiwanese cuisine, honed through his years in the food and beverage industry. His experience includes serving as a culinary consultant at prestigious five-star establishments, holding executive chef positions at renowned hotels, judging at culinary competitions on a global scale, and teaching at esteemed Taiwanese universities. He oversees the Ministry of Taiwan’s Labour Skills Certification in Western Cooking, holds the position of Associate Chairperson of Jinwen University of Science and Technology in the Department of Food & Beverage, and serves as a Worldchefs Certified Continental Judge.
This year’s Taiwanese street food spread features the signature Taiwan Lu Rou Fan and Oyster Mee Sua, Flame Charred Marbling Beef and Grilled Spiced Cuttlefish, Black Pepper Chicken in Sesame Bun, Black Angus Beef Gua Bao, Egg Pancake with Chicken Floss and Taiwanese aboriginal tribe cuisine such as the Tribal-Style Roast Chicken and Hot Stone grilled Fish. Love the Ginger Mother Duck Soup!
There is also a selection of Taiwanese seafood dishes such as the Chai Por Lobster, Baby Lobster Dan Zai Mian for dinner or Chai Por Prawns for lunch.
Don’t forget to enjoy a selection of desserts, including Taiwanese delights, including Taiwanese Castella Cake, Sun Cake, Brown Sugar Soya Milk with Mochi and the refreshing Aiyu Jelly with Lime.
