Sake Matsuri returns in November with a new festival format and six free-flow sessions in its largest edition, showcasing over 200 labels of sake represented by both Japanese breweries and local distributors. 52 sakes make their debut in Singapore, as well as an award-winning sake and seasonal releases. Held at the Outdoor Plaza of Paya Lebar Quarter, the pop-up sake bar will kick off festivities on 3 November offering attendees a chance to win a guided tour to Tokyo with two sake brewery visits worth S$4,400.

There is no entry ticket for day 1 of the festival. Sake can be purchased using S$5 denominated coupons or through a Sake Passport that entitles festival-goers to 10 sake pours. Complete a sampling of all 10 sake in the Sake Passport and enter a grand lucky draw to win a guided sake brewery tour to Tokyo and Takayama worth S$4,400 organised by The Kabuki Works. The trip includes visits to the famous Konohanano Brewery in Tokyo and Funasaka Brewery in Takayama, Gifu.

The popular free-flow sessions will take place on 4 and 5 November 2023 with three sessions at 10 am to 1pm, 2pm to 5pm, and 6pm to 9pm. Purchase tickets at S$55 per person or S$250 for a group of five. Early bird tickets are available till 3 October 2023 at S$45 per person or S$200 for a group of five. Tickets include three hours of free flow sampling and a Sake Matsuri Riedel crystal glass.
“Savour Nagano, Home to the Japan Alps” masterclass by 82 Link Nagano offers guests an opportunity to embark on a multicultural culinary adventure. Master Sake Sommelier Joshua Kalinan, previously the in-flight sommelier of Singapore Airlines, will guide attendees through 6 inviting Mod-Sin dishes prepared by The Kongsee, paired with 6 of the finest sake from Nagano’s breweries. The dishes, which are created using fresh Nagano produce, will showcase a spread of re-imagined Singaporean and Asian cuisine. Nagano is home to the Japan Alps, where it is blessed with an abundance of pure water and fertile soil, and whose impeccable terroir is reflected in the superior quality of its produce.
