Over 100 Taiwanese delicacies await at the Taiwan Food Tour

Taiwan Food Tour will be held from 4 to 6 November 2022 at Level 1 Suntec City West Wing. The event is jointly promoted by Taiwan Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA).

Over 100 food products, including specialities such as pastries, drinks, instant noodles, flavourful and unique condiments, as well as wholesome beverages and plant-based meat products will be showcased.

Visitors will be able to eat to their hearts’ content and bask in the warmth of Taiwanese hospitality. Stand to win prizes of Taiwanese goodies by participating in live games and spinning a lucky wheel. These games aim to promote Taiwanese food and beverage companies, and give their products higher visibility within the Singapore market and capture more local consumers. Children can create a handcrafted Bubble Tea toy at crafting sessions within the fair.

Plant-based meat and dried food exhibitors include Taiwan Farm Industry Co. Ltd and Chia-Hung Gifts & Souvenirs Co. Howlser Foods Co. Ltd, and Taiwan Tobacco & Liquor Corporation will be exhibiting Noodles. Baeyuea Enterprise Co. Ltd, Soye Food, Standard Foods Group and Orice Co. Ltd will exhibit prepared foods. Asakusa Agriculture Processing Co, Pao-Can Biomedical Co. Ltd and Ing Biotek Co. Ltd will be exhibiting Health Foods.

Beverages exhibitors include Chen En Food Product Enterprise Co., Ltd., Goodwill Foods Co., Ltd., T.C.D. Commercial Co., Ltd., Ho Ho Agriculture Marketing Co., Lbillion Ltd., Empire Eagle Food Co. Ltd. and Bio-Win International.

Chen Yun Pao Chuan Food Industry Co., Ltd., Prostar Foodservice, and K.K. Orchard Co., Ltd. will showcase biscuits and snacks. And Fwusow Industry Co. Ltd and Great Delivery Agriculture Biotechnology Co. Ltd will be showcasing condiments.

Singaporean consumers can purchase Taiwanese food products at Takashimaya Department Store, and at supermarkets such as Fairprice, Hao Mart, and Cold Storage. Come early November, online supermarket Redmart will be launching its Taiwan Food Pavilion, a section dedicated to delectable Taiwanese food products.

Taiwan exports an estimated USD546 million of pastries and cereal products in 2021, according to the Taiwan Trade Centre in Singapore. It’s top five export markets include the United States, China, Hong Kong, Australia and Canada. Singapore is the ninth largest export market.

Open to public from 1pm to 8pm on 4 November, 11am to 8pm on 5 November and 11am to 6pm on 6 November 2022.
