Negroni Week 2024 returns 16 to 22 September. Campari spotlights Singapore’s mixologists and the Wugroni

The 12th edition of Negroni Week returns 16 to 22 September 2024 spotlighting Singapore’s passionate and talented mixologists with an activation at 48 bars. Limited-time-only creations will be offered at participating bars include long-time supporters such as Plume, MO Bar, 28 Hongkong Street and Enclave, with newer entrants like SUSHISamba, Sospiri and Parliament.
Campari group is also introducing Wugroni in partnership with China’s Wuliangye Group. Wugroni has been dubbed the Negroni of the east. Negroni Week 2024 embraces diverse drinking cultures by introducing the Wugroni as its 7th Negroni variant. This new creation swaps gin for baijiu, marking the first Negroni variant to use this spirit. Named after the five (“Wu”) cereal grains used in baijiu’s distillation, the Wugroni consists of 20ml baijiu, 40ml Campari, and 40ml sweet vermouth, finished with orange peel for an oriental twist. It joins other variations like the Mezcal-based Oaxacan Negroni, the Rye Whisky Old Pal, and the Sparkling Wine Sbagliato.
Campari Group Asia and Wu Liang Ye is set to activate over 20 bars in Singapore to create their own renditions of Wugroni that includes: Madame Fan, Chandu, 15 Stamford Bar @ Kempinski Hotel, Astor Bar, Bar Spectre, CHANDU, Cook & Brew @ Westin Hotel, Dusk by Mount Faber, Enclave Bar, HighHouse, InterContinental Bugis, Las Palmas, Level 33, Madame Fan, Naga House, Nighthawk, Nutmeg & Clove, Opus, Parliament, Set of Six, Stay Gold Flamingo, Wallich Manor and Writer’s Bar.
| 16 September | Campari Red Hands Final x Negroni Week Opening @ SUSHISamba | The event will start with the Red Hands Asia Singapore Finals in the late afternoon, before leading to a party in the evening. Red Hands Asia is a prestigious, high-stakes competition to crown the region’s ultimate bartending champions. From 7pm to 10pm, a grand celebration will feature specially-curated Negroni variations by SUSHISamba’s bar team and music by a live DJ. The winner of Red Hands Asia Singapore will be announced live. Tickets will be available online as announced on @CampariSG for advance purchases or at the door. |
| 17 September | Neon Pigeon x L’Antiquario | International guest shift featuring the L’Antiquario’s (#44 on World’s 50 Best 2023) Founder & Owner, Alex Frezza who will be taking over Neon Pigeon’s bar with a one-night-only showcase of Napoli inspired cocktails. |
| 18 September | 1920’s Swing Dance Party with Wugroni at Enclave Bar | Drink and dance for a cause at Enclave Bar. Expect live swing dancing and complimentary haves. Organised in collaboration with Hounds of the Baskervilles – a classic gentlemen’s barbershop, the Hounds will be offering free shaves to raise funds for the Movember Product Foundation in their bid to raise awareness for Men’s Mental Health and Prostate Cancer. SwingStation by Lindy Hop will be putting together routines against a backdrop of 20s Jazz music. |
| 20 September | Negroni Night @ Astor Bar – St. Regis Singapore | Guest Shift pop-up helmed by Jun Han Ong (Head Mixologist, Plume Bar) and the previous Singapore winner of Campari Red Hands Competition in 2019. Look forward to various spins of the classic including a Smoked Olive Negroni, Negroni Sbagliato and Wugroni available all throughout the night till 11pm. |
| 21 September | Red Night @ Brooklyn Bar | At New York diner inspired Brooklyn Bar, Campari will be holding its Red Night helmed by Mad and Midas Head Bartender, Naz Arjuna and Campari Singapore Brand Ambassador for a raucous session of sipping Negronis alongside a selection of Campari red-tinted cocktails. Paced against a backdrop of Hip-hop and R&B tunes, drinkers are encouraged to dress in theme with their posse for an unforgettable night of enjoying drinks with a cause. |
| 22 September | Turbocharged F1 Brunch Party with Negroni at 67 Pall Mall. | Guest shift in collaboration with Lady Trieu Gin at members-only wine club, 67 Pall Mall. Fronted by Campari Group Ambassador, Bystrik Uko, guests can look forward to a range of special cocktails like the CHUCHU Negroni incorporating the small batch Vietnamese Gin with Campari, the Wugroni, a surprise twist by the man himself alongside classics of Aperol and Campari Spritz. |
| 19 to 30 September | Create your Negroni @ Allora Bar | Allora Bar and the Campari Group invites Negroni lovers to try their hand at stirring their favourite cocktail with DIY Negroni sessions. Adding on to the experience are Negroni Popsicles that are perfect for cooling off, available only from 16-22 September. |
