Food and Hotel Asia (FHA) – Food & Beverage 2022, Singapore’s biggest B2B trade show, returns to Singapore across four days from 5 to 8 September 2022 at Singapore EXPO featuring over 2,000 exhibitors and 50 international group pavilions with an expected 35,000 local and international visitors spanning 60,000 square metres of exhibition space.
There will also be over 70 seminars conducted by over 100 speakers in three theatres over four days.
New this year is Alternative Protein Asia (APA), a 1,400 sqm feature zone dedicated to plant -based and food-technology alternatives to animal proteins. The alternative protein market is estimated to be worth $36.61 billion by 2029. Furthermore, countries enacting food export restrictions on certain items such as chicken and wheat as a precautionary measure over concerns of domestic food security has caused disruption in food supply chains and prices, especially for nations such as Singapore which is heavily reliant on food imports. Exhibiting food tech companies include global players like Impossible Foods, Harvest Gourmet, First Pride, Big Idea Ventures, Finnebrogue, Tindle, Oatside, GrowthWell, Shiok Meats and many others.
An exciting four-day conference program highlighting the now and next for the industry with over 30 thought leaders and experts from Good Food Institute (GFI), Nestle, Tyson Foods, Accor, AgFunder VC, Global Data, Aleph Farms, Euromonitor, NTUC Fairprice, SaladStop!, Singapore Management University (SMU), Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Nanyang Polytechnic (NYP), Innovate360, The Trendlines Group, Green Rebel Foods and many more.
The inaugural Big Idea Food Competition (BIFC) organised by Big Idea Ventures will also be hosted at Alternative Protein Asia. The competition will shine a spotlight on the best entrepreneurs in this exciting space in Asia with the winner clinching an investment prize of US$200,000 at the finals. BIFC seeks to create new entrepreneurial ecosystems while inspiring the next generation of food start-ups.
The line-up also includes FHA Culinary Challenge, Halal Theatre, F&B Start-Up Village, Food Technology Zone and FHA Seminars and workshops including the NYP Learning Studio, Ministry of Trade & Industry (MTI), Singapore Food Agency (SFA), Enterprise Singapore, Redmart, Asian Trade Center, foodpanda, HappyFresh, European Union and many others.
VLAM, Flanders’ Agriculture Marketing Board which promotes the sale, consumption and image of products and services of Flemish agriculture will be present this year. Five of Flanders’ leading dairy companies will be showcasing cheeses, milk and desserts. Belgian milk and the entire range of Belgian dairy products are famous for the high-quality standards.
