The fourth instalment of The Japan Rail Fair by Japan Rail Cafe returns from 13 to 15 October 2023 at Urban Park, Guoco Tower. The annual fair will feature 23 booths and an array of free family-friendly performances and activities.
Iconic snacks, outstanding desserts, quality fruits and alcohol will be featured including brands such as Meiji Seika, BUTTER NO ITOKO and Narita Dream Farm. Umeshuya Singapore’s umeshu and Haru Sake’s line-up of artisanal sake will be available.
Seven different travel and tourism booths including Fujikyu Railway, Tokyo Monorail and Japan Airlines will be present to help you plan your next vacation to Japan. JR EAST passes for the Tohuku area and Nagano, Niigata area are also available for purchase at the fair, providing access to Tokyo from Narita and Haneda airports as well as unlimited travel on trains in the Tokyo metropolitan area.
Other interesting highlights include Le Furo’s proprietary ‘Craft Onsen’ – Japanese hot springs concentrated into a bottle. These Onsen bath supplements and drinkable Onsen mineral supplements and Onsen mist diffusers help you relax at home. Participate in popular summer festival games such as Yo-Yo Tsuri or water balloon ‘yo-yo’ and Senbonbiki. The Train Simulator Experience lets railway and train enthusiasts witness a live demonstration of TrainGo used by JR East to train their drivers. Understand the history behind Japanese Tea and a tea making experience or take photos with JAL Flight Attendants while the young ones will have a chance to try a Japanese Airlines uniform. Catch the Suzume Odori sparrow dance and the Brass Band Performance.
Japan Rail Cafe’s popular EKIBEN is back. The Shinkansen EKIBEN is supervised by JR East Cross Station and features a ‘train’ box that can be purchased at the cafe until 31 October 2023. A new Mount Scallop Don with premium scallops from Hokkaido will be available exclusively during The Japan Rail Fair.
