Affordable Art Fair returns to Singapore this week after a three-year hiatus. Aiming to reconnect and engage art lovers in the city-state, this year’s programme offers a wide array of activities, including a charity evening with Singapore Cancer Society, Adam and Eve live model drawing, and an Augmented Reality digital art installation.
80 local and international galleries will showcase more than 650 artists and thousands of artworks. More than 35% of the galleries participating will be showing here for the first time.
Arty-Licious Evening is held on 18 November from 6 pm to 9 pm. Affordable Art Fair Singapore will donate S$2 to Singapore Cancer Society for each ticket (S$25 for multiple re-entries on other days) sold. The programme includes an Adam & Eve live model sketching workshop by Visual Arts Centre at S$38 per person (50% donated to SCS); coaster-making workshop led by SCS at S$20 per person (50% donated to SCS); and a performance by Spanish artist Susana Sanromán (free).
Drop by the Art Galleries Association Singapore’s Feature Exhibition II. The free event is a sequel to the inaugural launch in 2020 and offers an experiential approach that transcends beyond the gallery walls while pushing for greater recognition in art appreciation and consumption.
Dorsett Hospitality International and digital art studio The Collective present The Way We Dance travelling augmented reality performance. Seen previously at Affordable Art Fair Hong Kong, Melbourne and London, The Way We Dance debuts in Singapore. Use the iPads available at the booth to witness virtual dancers come to life. Free to attend.
Is This Art? Workshop is suitable for anyone four years old and up. Create your own modern art-inspired sculpture in this hour-long workshop. Add your own touch to the exhibited works, learn about the Modern Art movement, and make your very own mixed media sculptures. (S$25 includes a tour of The Absurd Art Gallery).
Purchase tickets before coming to the fair. Tickets can be purchased via Eventbrite here.
