You can try out amazing whiskies at The Whisky Festival Pop-Up bar at Changi Airport Terminal 3 airside near Gucci and Burberry until 10 June 2019.
This is the fourth edition of The Whisky Festival organised by DFS Group and it aims to demystify the whisky making process with the inspiration of cask maturation and its impact on colour, aroma and taste.
You can sip on a whisky served neat at the 1920s-themed pop-up bar that is made of deconstructed whisky casks. Besides complimentary tastings, there are vaporisers showcasing scents from floral to smoky and intense.
Jazz singers such as Carol Gomez, Ywenna Carolin and Richard Jackson will perform live.
Highlights include Bruichladdich Port Charlotte 10 (S$131.50), Compass Box No Name, No. 2 (S$195), Glenmorangie Rare Cask 1399 (S$743), Johnnie Walker Black Triple Cask Edition (S$55.20) and Royal Salute 21 Year Old Lost Blend (S$228). One of my favourites is the S$1,148 bottle of Royal Brackla Exceptional Cask 20-year-old Double Cask.
