22 October 2012, Singapore – This year, SUPERADRIANME.com sent a review team to all three Halloween themed events – Sentosa Spooktacular, Universal Studios Singapore Halloween Horror Nights 2 and Deadly Ever After taking place on Sentosa Island.
So if you have not decided which Halloween destination to visit next week, this guide should help you with your decision. This specially selected three men team is made up of The Brave, The Timid and The Cam Whore who will each give their comments on the respecting Halloween events, so you will have a better idea from different perspectives. Here’s a quick introduction of the team:
- The Brave – someone who braved the entire 50 minutes haunted trail of the Haunted Hospital in Fuji Q, known as one of the world’s largest & scariest haunted trail
- The Timid – one disinclined to any approach, easily frightened, timid and a shy bird
- The Cam Whore – one who craved for that perfect moment, perfect spot to frame and snap a picture
DEADLY EVER AFTER at Sentosa 4D Magix
The Brave: If you are bored or just stuck in the heavy rain and want to impress your date by acting really macho in front of some cheap scares. Bring them down to this cheapest haunted mansion in Sentosa.
The Timid: Good effort to build up the mood and coming out with a story. Actual trail was a little disappointing in terms of props, but the scare and surprise factor was there. I wish the experience was more immersive.
The Cam Whore: Only can take pictures with the roaming zombies outside the trail, with limited decorations, low Halloween ambiance. It makes taking out the camera from my bag a chore.

Sentosa Spooktacular at Fort Siloso
The Brave: Your best option if you want to just want to have a night of fun and you are just not willing to pay the price of the ‘other’ haunted attraction in Sentosa. As much as the scare actors try their best to scare and do their ‘thing’, the entire trail reeks of amateurish props and scare tactics. Cheap fast pass and affordable ticket prices for five haunted mansion, best value for money.
The Timid: The actors did a good job, some staying true to their characters. With the exception of Camp Berhantu, the other four haunted houses are memorable and original in my opinion. Each providing a good shock and scare factors although tactics are more or less the same.
The Cam Whore: My first visit to Fort Siloso after dark. Fantastic view while walking down the trails and night backdrop for the undeads to post and take some mood shots in this historic ground.

Universal Studios Singapore Halloween Horror Nights 2 at Resorts World Sentosa
The Brave: Almost unfair to compare this Halloween destination with the other two offerings in Sentosa. The massive amount of scare actors and props provides the most immersive experience out of the three destination. Outstanding choreography and dedicated scare actors with professional make up, USS brings on the best scares this Halloween. If all fails and you find yourself chickening out, you can always go for the rides they offer. You have to buy the express pass to complete the three haunted trails or you will just have to spend hours queuing.
The Timid: Expectations are definitely high because it is a commercial production. Props used are amazing and actors stayed in their character throughout. It was an amazing experience and all the haunted trails creep me out immensely, with the dungeon of damnation taking the top spot. The scare factor would be multiplied several folds if there were not too many people.
The Cam Whore: Nice and detailed decorations, brings out the different mood for each horror zones based on their story. I can always go back again another day just to spend four hours taking pictures only. The best Halloween makeup in town, so real, so bloody and so gory, makes my shutter button go on rapid mode… Love it!
