23 year old student, Shannon Lim, was crowned 2013’s top SingTel Grid Girls just in time to hold the Singapore Flag at 2013 Singapore Grand Prix happening over this weekend. The results was unveiled at the F1 village during the inaugural Pit Lane Experience, where members of the public were invited to view the Marina Bay Circuit a day before the race day.
“Being a SingTel Grid Girl has been an amazing experience. I watched the race every year and still can’t quite believe that I will be the one holding the national flag on the starting grid this weekend.” – Shannon Lim
This year, the SingTel Grid Girls received closed to a million votes from the supporters, a tremendous increment of public engagement for this annual event. Besides Shannon, second and third place winners, Jermayne Chow, 23 and Stacey Liu, 21, will also take part in the flagging off the race this weekend.
