Singapura: The Musical by The 4th Wall Theatre Co. Pte Ltd will be premiere at the opening of the newly refurbished Capitol Theatre next to Capitol Piazza in Singapore on 19th May 2015. The musical will go on for six weeks till 28 June 2015 with shows on 7.30pm from Tuesday to Sunday with additional shows at 2.30pm on Saturday and Sunday.

The musical brings you on a journey of love, hope and new beginnings while exploring the strength of the human spirit during Singapore’s formative years from 1955 to 1965. Witness through the eyes of ordinary men and women how hope and youthful determination transcend the struggles of everyday life during this time period as Singaporeans strive towards a better future for themselves and their loved ones. Passion and drive allows them to dream, hope and create a place where they truly call home.
The musical features an international cast and crew and is conceptualised by Ed Gatchalian, a composer and artistic director and founder of 4th Wall Theatre Company Pte Ltd. Jonathan Lim, a local actor, director and playwright will play one of the lead roles in addition to his role as dramaturge.
Greg Ganakas, an award-winning New York Director who is recipient of two of America’s highest honours for theatre – the Helen Hayes Award and the Moss Hart Award will direct the musical. Greg has directed other productions including Ain’t Misbehavin’, Oklahoma!, A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum and A Christmas Carol.
