9 September 2012, Singapore – The Rémy Martin Centaur Dance Showdown returns for its sophomore season 10 September 2012 in six countries – Singapore, Malaysia, India, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam.    This dance competition allows the brand to discover Asia’s best dancing crew from any dance genre.

Each team for the Singapore leg is made up of up to five dancers aged 18 and above.  To participate, you may register and submit your dance video of between two to three minutes from 10 September to 7 October 2012 at www.centaurdance.com.   Public voting makes up 40% of the total score and fans can view the videos and vote online from 8 October to 4 November 2012.

The remaining 60% will be based on the scores of a judging panel.  In Singapore, the judging panel will comprise dance experts and other names int he Singapore entertainment industry.   Judging criteria include choreography, dance techniques and overall stage performance.

The top ten teams will compete in the Singapore Finals at Clarke Quay Central Fountain Square on 10 November 2012 from 6 to 11pm.

The winning Singapore team gets a cash prize of S$5,000 as well as to compete in the Regional Finals against the other top five top teams from the other countries at Zirca in Clarke Quay on 18 January 2013 from 8pm to 12am.  The newly appointed Brand Ambassador Jolin Tsai will be one of the judges at the Regional Finals.   She will also perform the best of her hits at a mini concert at the event where 1,000 guests and consumers would be invited.

The overall winner of the Regional Finals gets the title of Asia’s Best Dancing Crew and a cash prize of US$10,000.
