Pokemon fans, it’s time to put on a lab coat and head on over to Resorts World Sentosa. From 22 October 2016 to 2 January 2017, S.E.A Aquarium will play host to the first Pokemon Research Exhibition held outside of Japan! Just like the one in Japan, we will get to take on the mantle of an esteemed Pokemon Researcher (do you hear me now, Professor Oak) to deduce which mysterious critter hiding inside their very own Pokeball.
Part-Pokemon, part-sherlock, visitors will be given either of three Pokeballs – Pokeball (Easy), Great Ball (Medium) or an Ultra Ball (Hard) – without knowing what’s hiding inside. To do so, they will have to make a trip to four observation points to gather clues on their distinctive characteristics. There will be a total of eight to choose from, starting from the simpler footprint collector to a cardio-fueled silhouette shooter. Remember how the anime used to entertain us in between commercial breaks with a silhouette and their distinct call, asking us to guess the Pokemon? Now, we all get to do that in real life – with way, way more fun!
While there won’t be any merchandise to bring home, the adorable Professor Pikachu will be making an appearance. Bouncing with enthusiasm all around the grounds at 11:30AM, 2:30PM and 5:30PM for photo opportunities (or to melt everyone’s hearts).
Ticket bundles are discounted online at S$35/adult and S$23/child or senior citizen, inclusive of admission to S.E.A. Aquarium.
