16 September 2011, Singapore – So it’s a few weeks too early for Oktoberfest. We’re only midway through a rather hectic September. Wait a minute! It’s never too early for beer!!
Yesterday, I had a fabulous afternoon tea, tasting the new Magnolia Sherbet and meeting George Young in person at Villa Halia at the resplendent Botanic Gardens.
After that, I headed on to an even more exciting evening at Swiss Club. Held in a huge tentage built up for Oktoberfest, I was ready for a few pints of refreshing Erdinger Beer. Celebrating 125 years of brewing delicious Erdinger Beer, the crowd started to pour in a little later.
It’s worth the effort getting to Swiss Club. The food was great, every one had the same objective, that is to drink lotsa beer and have lotsa fun! This festival of beer drinking and merry making with great food to fill your stomach started on 14 September and will conclude at 2pm this Sunday 18 September 2011. But look out for ROKTOBER! With Erdinger at Timbre @ The Substation from 20 to 23 October 2011.
And if you do make it this weekend for Oktoberfest at Swiss Club, you have to try out to the roast beef and pork knuckle! Just talking about this is making me feel hungry despite having had a large serving of food earlier yesterday evening.
Start counting your days to October. And celebrate again soon!
