Latino Salsa Thursdays at Clarke Quay

Clark Quay Latino Salsa July 2011

31 July 2011, Singapore – Earlier this month on 7 July 2011, I visited Clarke Quay to attend their first edition of Latino Salsa Thursday event to catch Filipino – Australian singer, TV/Film star and stage actor RJ Rojales perform along with vocalist, percussion player and established Latin singer Dimax Antonio Cuesta.

Trying to soak up as much of the Latino atmosphere at the centre courtyard of one of Singapore’s most popular dining and drinking hotspots,  the crowds were invited to join in the live Latino Salsa perfomance and workshops where they could pick up some sexy Latin Salsa moves.

There was a dance floor area where professional dancers showed their Latin Salsa moves and anyone was welcomed to join them.  Initially the crowd was pretty curious and a tad bit shy to join in, but as it got later and people were more comfortable, the dance floor was actually packed.  Well at least it was great for the photos, but I am however, still on the shy side and wouldn’t be caught dancing in public!!  Furthermore, it did get rather hot and the Sol beer didn’t help in cooling me down.
