12 November 2012, Singapore – Rémy Martin has appointed its first 32 year old Jolin Tsai from Taiwan as its celebrity spokesperson. This is Rémy Martin’s first Asian collaboration. The 300-year old house wants to introduce its brand to a younger adult consumer through music and dance.
Jolin will be here on 18 January 2013 to judge the regional finals of Centaur Dance Showdown 2012 where she will also be staging a mini-concert showcase. She will be the inspiration and role model to the dancer, fan or cognac aficionado.
Rémy Martin has worked with American R&B singer-songwriter, musician composer, and actor Robin Thicke and American actress Paula Patton to represent its brand in the US/Europe region. Other celebrities include American hip-hop rapper, T.I. and American singer/songwriter Usher.
At the Singapore Finals of the Rémy Martin Centaur Dance Showdown last Saturday night at Clarke Quay Central Fountain Square, six dance teams battled it out for the top prize of S$5,000 cash and a chance to represent Singapore at the Regional Finals against the top dance crews from Malaysia, Philippines, India, Thailand and Vietnam.
The five-member group aged between 21 and 31 years old from Radikal Forze came in tops at the showdown finals impressing the judges radio DJ Rosalyn Lee, and dance trainers and choreographers Jeffrey Tan and Carol Cheong. Formed 14 years ago, Radkial Forze has performed and represented Singapore at various large-scale events and competitions across Asia, Switzerland, USA and Australia.
The winner of the Regional Finals will win US$10,000 and the title “Asia’s Best Dancing Crew”.
