The 14th edition of Huayi – Chinese Festival of Arts kicks off 12 February 2016 at Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay.
This weekend Hong Kong fusion band SIU2 will perform a unique crossover concert that brings together musical instruments from the East and the West – the sheng, sanxian, guzheng, piano, bass guitar and drums.
SIU2 made their debut at the 2008 Hong Kong Arts Festival and the New Visions Art Festival. The band has released three albums and brought their music to international stages. They have performed in Asia and Europe at various music festivals including the Borneo Jazz Festival in 2011 and Bordeaux Music Festival in 2012.
The performance will last approximately 1 hour 30 minutes with a 15 minute intermission. Fans can look forward to the post-performance autograph session.
The performance is held at the Esplanade Recital Studio at 7.30pm on 13 February 2016, Saturday and at 2.30pm on 14 February 2016, Sunday. Tickets are available at S$35 with concessions for students, NSFs and senior citizens at S$20.
