How To Participate In The Red Bull Monkey Run 2012

Red Bull Monkey Run Student Edition

13 March 2012, Singapore – In the month of March 2012, the Red Bull Monkey Run Student Edition will occur in Singapore to search for the top 10 male and 10 female candidates to represent Singapore for the Grand Final in Malaysia in July 2012.

As part of a three country mini physical obstacle course tour in Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei, top candidates with the best timings from each country will be selected to take part in an all expenses paid Grand Final in Penang, Malaysia in July 2012.

The Monkey Run first started in Malaysia in 2011.  Red Bull hopes to promote healthy sports lifestyle amongst the youth. Testing the contestants’ balance, agility and creativity within the fastest time period, there are two competing rounds.  Each round on the mini course has three obstacles and the grand final will have six obstacles on a full course.    The challenge’s three main obstacles include the Rolling Bananas, Flying Fox and the Fruit Baskets Challenge.

The champion will walk away with a Perodua MyVi worth S$25,000 (excluding tax and COE).  Cash prizes are also awarded in both the male and female categories.

If you are a Singapore Citizen or permanent resident and are enrolled in any registered higher education institution in Singapore, just show your student ID and purchase a can of Red Bull Singapore’s Choice or Classic to take part in the challenge.
