20 November 2012, Singapore – Japanese fashion couturier Junko Shimada will be showcasing her Spring/Summer 2013 collection at Japan Couture 2012 Singapore on 28 November 2012 at 8.15pm at The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands. SUPERADRIANME.com is offering 10 pairs of tickets for our readers to attend Junko’s show. The Japan Couture 2012 is part of the second edition of the nine-day fashion event Women’s Fashion Week 2012 featuring the latest prêt-à-porter collection from international labels.
Junko was born in Tateyama, Chiba Prefecture in Japan in 1941. She graduated from Sugino Gakuen as a Dress Maker in 1963 and moved to Paris 3 years later. In 1981, Junko Shimada Design Studio was established in Paris. Junko presented her new label at Paris Fashion Week and 49AV>Junko Shimada at Tokyo Fashion Week. In 1985, Junko Shimada Store at rue Etienne Marcel was opened and a year later, her casual line was launched. In 1988, Junko Shimada International in Tokyo was established. In 2001, she opened her second store in Paris at rue Saint Florentin.

Asian Couture 2012 Singapore

Four Asian Couturiers will be featured including China’s Guo Pei who was previously in Singapore for Digital Fashion Week 2012, Thailand’s Asava by Polpat Asavaprapa, Hong Kong’s Barney Cheng and Mongolia’s Torgo by Bold Ochirjanstan.
Guo Pei will showcase her complete “Legend of the Dragon” collection in combination with her retrospective collection. Asava by Polpat Asavaprapa will show his Autumn/Winter 2012/13 collection.

Three Japanese Couturieres will showcase their designs – Somarta by Tamae Hirokawa, Junko Shimada and Yumi Katsura.
French Couture Week 2012

Eight Parisian Haute Couturiers will be showcase the designs this year including Christophe Josse, Gustavo Lins, Alexis Mabille, Bouchra Jarrar, Julien Fournié, Maurizio Galante, on aura tout vu by Livia Stoianova and Yassen Samouilov and Yiqing Yin.
Christophe Josse, Alexis Mabille and Yiqing Yin will present their Fall/Winter 2012 Haute Couture collection, while Julien Fournié will present his Fall/Winter 2012 Haute Couture combined with looks from his First Colours Collection (Spring/Summer 2011 Haute Couture). Gustavo Lins and Bouchra Jarrar are presenting a retrospective collection of their most inspiring creations while on aura tout vu by Livia Stoianova and Yassen Samouilov will present looks from their two most recent collections.

7.00pm A Couture exhibition with models in Haute Couture gowns showcased in tandem with the use of interactive digital displays to illustrate the various ‘live’ Couture installations.
