Disney’s beloved fairytale classic, Beauty and the Beast, is coming to life in Singapore — and not just any version. This is Disney’s first reimagined production of the musical in over 25 years, making its only Asian stop at Sands Theatre, Marina Bay Sands, this December 2025.
Produced by Disney Theatrical Group and presented by Base Entertainment Asia, this brand-new staging features all-new set designs, dazzling costumes, and state-of-the-art theatrical effects. Tickets are expected to sell out quickly, and the waitlist is now open for early access.

A Reimagined Tale as Old as Time

Based on the 1991 animated film, Beauty and the Beast was Disney’s first Broadway musical. The original ran for 13 years and played in over 37 countries. This new production brings back members of the original creative team — including director and choreographer Matt West, scenic designer Stanley A. Meyer, costume designer Ann Hould-Ward (who won a Tony® for her work), and composer Alan Menken, joined by lyricists Howard Ashman and Tim Rice.
Expect to hear the songs you know and love — Belle, Gaston, Be Our Guest, and the emotional title track — as well as several pieces written specifically for the stage.

Disney Magic for All Ages

This latest take is being hailed as a “refreshed and human” approach to the story. The show remains a spectacular romance — Belle, the intelligent outsider, and the Beast, a cursed prince — told with grandeur and heart.
Expect jaw-dropping illusions, rich storytelling, and Broadway-level flair. Critics from past runs in Australia and the UK have called it “witty, exuberant, and breathtaking”. Ticket sales in Australia alone have exceeded one million, and Singapore looks to be the next sell-out stop.
A New Generation of Disney Fans
“This Beauty is for longtime fans and an entirely new generation,” says Anne Quart, Executive Producer at Disney Theatrical Group. And in a city known for its love of musicals, Singapore is the perfect launchpad for the show’s Asia premiere.
With previous hits like The Lion King, Aladdin and Frozen drawing big crowds at the Sands Theatre, Beauty and the Beast is set to continue that magical streak this December.
