It is Minion season all over again. Baba ba BANANA!!! Despicable Me 3 is super entertaining and there will be lots of laughter throughout the movie. Well, at least for me. I was laughing almost non-stop at the preview last week. This film is relevant if you are into Retro Pop Hits from the 80s including Michael Jackson’s Bad, A-Ha’s Take On Me or Madonna’s Into The Groove.

Unlike the previous instalments, Despicable Me 3 has a couple of side adventures that will captivate you and make you look forward to a fourth instalment (if there’s any). Hum along to Pharrell Williams’ Yellow Light or Hug Me featuring Trey Parker, There’s Something Special, Freedom, Doowit, Chuck Berry, Fun Fun Fun or Despicable Me in the Despicable Me 3 tracklisting.

There are lots of photo opportunities with these absolutely adorable yellow creatures. Look out for the Minion Mob which happens in the afternoon. The Minions break out of jail and head through the Hollywood zone with over 20 performers and ends with a grand parade at the Hollywood Lagoon Stage which features a giant inflatable Minion.

Get some of these cute and delicious Minion-themed treats from a pop-up store.  The Banana flavour Pop Corn goes well with a Minion-Popcorn container. The Salted Egg Yolk craze still lives on through the Minion Bun which features Salted Egg Yolk Lava. There is also a Banana Custard version if you are not into Salted Egg Yolk. A theme-park delight one should not go without is Churros. There are Minion Churros with Banana Chocolate Dip.

Rodney's Rotten Game Show

Another interactive activity is the Rodney’s Rotten Game Show held at the Hollywood Lagoon Stage. Rodney Rotten hosts the game show which features performances by Minions, including Minion Mel and Gru, dancing, trivia contests and a banana-eating competition. The banana eating competition is really quite something. The competitors are not allowed to use their hands to eat the plate of cream and banana. It is going to be messy but surely fun to watch. Rodney’s Rotten Game Show is held at 12pm, 2.30pm and 5.30pm from Mondays to Fridays and on Sunday. On Saturdays, the show is at 12pm, 2pm and 5.30pm.
