21 September 2011, Singapore – The exclusive Amber Lounge club this year will feature Amber Lounge Fashion for the second year this Saturday as well as entertain guests with Taio Cruz as he headlines at the Amber Lounge’s Grand Prix After party the following night.
Singaporean designer headlines this year’s Amber Lounge Fashion show hosted inside the exclusive Amber Lounge club on Saturday during the Singapore Grand Prix weekend. Frederick’s flamboyant and dramatic dresses has won him numerous accolades including “Designer of the Year’ and “The Best of Singapore”.
Fifteen sexy models will sashay down the catwalk in Frederick Lee’s couture collection as well as some exciting new specially created party pieces. Frederick will be supported by celebrity fashion choreographer of the moment and “Elle’s Fashion Icon of the Year” Daniel Boey and the Amber Lounge Fashion partners, MAC and Inman.
The dancing with DJs’ Lora and Micky spinning the discs at Amber Lounge’s Girls Night Out party starts after the shows end.
Sunday night’s Grand Prix After Party will feature F1 favourite DJ JackE behind the decks and unlimited Champagne. Last year Amber Lounge played host to celebrity guests sucha s Harry Potter star Rupert Grint, Sir Richard Branson and stunning TV presenter Marion Caunter along with 24 F1 drivers including Singapore’s last post race hero, Fernando Alonso.
With an exclusive guest list of just 800, party goers will experience a very up-close and personal performance by Taio Cruz. He will sing a selection of his number one smash hit singles, including Break Your Heart, Dynamite, Higher and his most recent collectio with David Guetta, Little Bad Girl.
Taio’s pheonomenal debut album ROKSTARR saw his first and second releases “Break Your Heart” and “Dynamite” explode onto the music scene heading straight to No. 1 in the US and UK charts alone. Both smash hits went triple platinum in a matter of weeks and “Break Your Heart” has since gone on to sell a record 10 million sales worldwide.
This will be Taio’s virgin visit since the release of his debut album.
Amber Lounge was founded by Sonia Irvine, sister of Ferrari F1 star Eddie Irvine. The first Amber Lounge took place at the Monaco Grand Prix in 2003. The premise was to create a truly VIP nightlife experience that reflects the glamour and exclusivity of one of the most prestigious sporting events of the world. Over the years, Amber Lounge has carved a reputation as an unique venue where F1 drivers, celebrities, VIPs and regular race fans can come together to enjoy a fun night out. The 2011 Amber Lounge will run in Monaco, Singapore, Delhi and Abu Dhabi.
The Amber Lounge Fashion Show was launched in 2006, under the High Patronage of H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco, to raise funds for official charities. THe charity partner for 2011 is the Special Olympics. The fashion show has received support from major fashion labels and prestigious brands including Missoni, Elizabeth Hurley Beach, Jimmy Choo, Chopard and Martini and has become an established favourite with the world’s media and celebrity social elite. This year the Amber Lounge Fashion is hosting their catwalk show in Monaco and Singapore.
