Just when you thought Anime Festival Asia 2015 (AFA) could not get even more exciting, they confirmed Aimer for the “I love Anisong” Reboot concert! She will be performing for the first time for Singapore, alongside BACK-ON, Zaq, Honeyworks and bless4 on the opening night (27 November 2015) of Singapore’s biggest Japanese pop-culture event.

If you had not heard of her, you have been missing out! Yes, you have. In fact, you should slap yourself silly.
She has lent her voice to huge titles such as Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn (Star Ring Child, Re:I Am), Terror In Resonance (Dareka, Umi Wo), Bleach (Re:pray) and Fate/Stay Night Unlimited Blade Works (Brave Shine), and has one of the industry’s leading composer, Hiroyuki Sawano (Guilty Crown, Gundam Unicorn and Seraph of the End) on her side. No doubt, her great voice and unique genre is a force to be reckoned with and has already garnered a cult following in- and outside of Japan.

She even opened for ONE OK ROCK at Yokohama Arena for two nights just this May, with the band’s lead singer, Taka, boasting about buying her album on Instagram! As someone who has been to every concert ONE OK ROCK has held in Singapore, I had a major fangirl moment knowing that Taka was a fan of her music. (I bet I was not the only one.)
AFA2015 will be held from 27 to 29 November 2015, at Suntec Singapore Convention and Exhibition Centre Levels 3 and 4. Tickets start from S$13 for festival access and S$58 for the “I Love Anisong Reboot” concert. For more information and updates, check out their Facebook and Official Site.
