A.R. Rahman Jai Ho Concert at Marina Bay Sands Grand Theatre

AR Rahman entertains himself in his Presidential Suite at the Marina Bay Sands

17 March 2011, Singapore – From today till 20 March, Bollwood music legend and Academy Award winner, A.R. Rahman takes centre-stage at his Jai Ho Concert: The Journey Home World Tour at the Marina Bay Sands Grand Theatre.  This four-night extravaganza is part of the Singapore leg of his global tour.  Rahman has teamed up with Amy Tinkham, his creative director, who is best known for stage collaborations with Britney Spears, the Backstreet Boys and Mariah Carey.

Rahman recently gained international recognition when he took home the Golden Statue and the Grammy for his work on the Danny Boyle-directed Slumdog Millionaire.

Rahman’s world tour kicked off on June 11 2010 in New York.  He has already performed in Washington, Texas, Toronto, Johannesburg, Cape Town, London, Zurich and Paris.   An additional block of S$145 tickets were released to public due to exceptional demand.
